Wyoming High School softball teams are in Week 5. The 2026 season will be impacted by the weather for the third time this season. Games on Friday and Saturday at three sites are postponed to later in the season. A few other times have changed to try to beat the weather. This is rivalry week, as teams in Sweetwater County square off, plus Wheatland and Torrington, the Capital City rivalry between East and Central, the Casper schools, and the Gillette schools.
WYORPEPS WEEK 5 SOFTBALL SCHEDULE 2026
Most of the action is conference doubleheaders around the state. Only two match-ups are cross-quad games. The twin bills with Central facing East and Campbell County taking on Thunder Basin are top-five contests. Here is the full schedule for Week 5.
TUESDAY, APRIL 14
Final Score: #5 Rock Springs 11 Green River 6 (conference game) – A 5-run 6th inning was the key for the Tigers’ victory. Wester had 3 hits & 3 RBIs and got the win in the circle for RS. Burns had 3 hits & 5 RBIs for GR.
Final Score: #5 Rock Springs 20 Green River 4 (conference game) – RS scored 17 runs in their last 2 at-bats. Anderson homered and drove in 3 runs. Wallendorff added 2 hits (2B) & 3 RBIs. Wester added 2 hits & 5 RBIs, while Adams contributed 4 RBIs on 2 hits.
Final Score: Cody 16 Natrona County 8 (conference game) – A 7-run 2nd inning gave Cody a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. Six players had 3 hits apiece in a 22-hit attack. Nielsen, C. Lindemann, Simone, and Kondelis led the way with 3-hits and 2 RBIs each.
Final Score: Cody 12 Natrona County 6 (conference game) – Cody used a 7-run 3rd inning to take control. The Fillies had 17 hits in game 2. C. Lindemann had 3 hits and 4 RBIs. Nielsen added 3 hits, 3 runs scored, and drove in 1 run. She also got the win in the circle.
Final Score: Wheatland 12 Torrington 1(conference game) – The Bulldogs exploded for 8 runs in the 1st inning. Landri Vaughn allowed 1 run on 4 hits with 8 Ks and just one walk. Struble led the offense with 2 hits and 1 RBI. Connell added a double and drove in 2 runs. Shaylyn Wunder homered for the Blazers.
Final Score: Wheatland 14 Torrington 5 (conference game) – The Bulldogs used a 5-run 2nd to take the lead for good. Landri Vaughn had 3 hits (2B) and 3 RBIs. Wheatland took advantage of 15 walks and 4 errors.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15
Final Score: #2 Cheyenne Central 8 #3 Cheyenne East 0 (conference game) – Teasley tossed a 4-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts for the Indians. They led 2-0 before scoring 4 runs in the 5th to break it open. Pineda had a 3-run triple in that 5th inning. Driver added 2 hits & 1 RBI for Central.
Final Score: #2 Cheyenne Central 11 #3 Cheyenne East 7 (conference game) – The Indians jumped out to a 5-0 lead before East rallied and tied it. Central scored 6 in the 5th and held the T-Birds to 2 runs in that frame. Erickson led the Indians with 2 hits (HR), 3 runs scored, and 2 RBIs. Lake had 1 hit & 2 RBIs for East.
Final Score: Laramie 16 Cheyenne South 2 (conference game) – Laramie scored 9 runs in the 1st to set the stage and finished it early. Dean had 4 hits, including 1 HR, and 4 RBIs. Hawkins added 3 hits & 2 RBIs, while Claude contributed 2 hits & 3 RBIs for LHS.
Final Score: Laramie 20 Cheyenne South 3 (conference game) – Laramie set the tone with 10 runs in the 1st and added 9 more in the 2nd inning. Christensen, C. Hodges, and Sandoval had 2 hits & 2 RBIs each. Witte added a 2-run triple.

THURSDAY, APRIL 16
Final Score: Sheridan 22 Worland 7 (conference game) – The Broncs scored 7 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings and capped it with 8 more in the 5th. Lollar homered, drove in 3 runs, and scored 4 times. Murner had 3 hits & 3 RBIs, and Meyer added 3 hits & 2 RBIs. Glanz led Worland with 3 hits (2B) & drove in 3 runs.
Final Score: Sheridan 13 Worland 2 (conference game) – After the game was tied at 2-2, the Broncs scored the last 11 runs of the game over their final 4 at-bats. Atter & Lollar hit home runs for Sheridan to lead an 18-hit attack. Murner had 4 hits (3B) & 2 RBIs. Lollar drove in 4.
Final Score: Kelly Walsh 8 Natrona County 7 (conference game) – The Trojans scored 3 times in the bottom of the 6th to rally and beat their rivals from NC. They tied it on a steal of home, and then Ryleigh Sisco had the go-ahead RBI single to CF for KW. She had 2 hits & 2 RBIs, and Weant added 3 hits (2B, 3B) & drove in 1 run. NC got 3 hits & 4 RBIs from Britton.
Final Score: Kelly Walsh 9 Natrona County 8 (conference game) – A 4-run 3rd inning put the Trojans in front, and they held off a Fillies comeback attempt. Dimick had 2 hits & 2 RBIs, while Clarkson and Moore drove in 2 runs each.
Final Score: #3 Cheyenne East 12 Wheatland 2 (conference game) – A 7-run 3rd inning propelled the T-Birds to a road win. Luethy homered among 3 hits & 3 RBIs, while Grant also hit a 2-run home run for East.
Final Score: #3 Cheyenne East 18 Wheatland 1 (conference game) – East jumped out to an 8-2 lead after 2 innings and wrapped it up with 10 runs in the 4th. Artery had 4 hits, scored 4 runs, and drove in 3. Grant and McDonald added 2 hits & 3 RBIs each. Hollibaugh allowed 1 unearned run on 2 hits with 7 Ks.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18
Final Score: Cody 9 #1 Campbell County 7 – 8 inn. – A 4-run top of the 8th helped the Fillies hand the Camels their first loss of the season. Reinker had the go-ahead 2-run double. H. Lindemann added a 2-run single. Campbell County got 2 back, but the rally fell short. Lindemann finished with 3 hits (2B) & 4 RBIs, and Reinker added 2 hits & 3 RBIs. Smith had 3 hits & 2 RBIs for the Camels.
Final Score: #1 Campbell County 11 Cody 7 – A 7-run 3rd inning pushed the Camels to the split. Smith had 4 hits & 3 RBIs, while Thayer & Fresorger homered.
