Foreign students in Kyrgyzstan will need health insurance to extend their registration

AKIPRESS.COM – Kyrgyzstan has updated the rules for extending the stay of foreign students arriving from visa-free countries, Kyzmat state institution reported.

Under the new procedure, the basis for extending a stay is documentation confirming enrollment in an educational institution.

Depending on the circumstances, the student must submit a formal request from the educational institution (bearing its official seal), an education contract, or an extract from the enrollment order.

Proof of mandatory health insurance or a voluntary health insurance policy is also required to extend the stay.

The extension of registration must be processed no later than the final day of the current registration’s validity.
