ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Two sinkholes opened in Albuquerque on Friday, including a 4-foot-wide hole on Isleta near Gun Club that will close a stretch of road into the weekend.

The sinkhole on Isleta near Gun Club measures about 4 feet in diameter, and the road is closed between Tierra Verde and Gun Club.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office said the lane closure will stay in place until at least Saturday afternoon.

KOB 4 also went to a second sinkhole near Central and Morningside. Crews were working to fix that hole when KOB 4 arrived.

Officials have not said when crews will finish repairs at the sinkhole near Central and Morningside.
