The City of Albuquerque is encouraging you to not throw away broken or worn out items and to get a free professional fix at the Aug. 8 event.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The City of Albuquerque wants to help you repair broken items to keep them out of the landfill.

Whether it’s a bike, a small appliance, simple electronics or just another well-loved item, experienced volunteer coaches will be there to help you give it a second life.

The Fix-It Clinic is set for Saturday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s set to take place at Fuse Marketplace at 101 Broadway Blvd. NE Suite 3100. You do have to register and that closes this week. They still have appointments open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., with an hour-long slot available. It’s necessary when they have around 100-150 people show up and 200 expected this year.
