HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — New Mexico-born NASCAR winner Taylor Gray signed a contract extension to continue racing in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2027.
Gray, a 21-year-old Artesia native, will remain the driver of the No. 54 Toyota Supra GR in 2027. Since joining JGR full-time in 2025 to race in second rung from the top of the NASCAR ladder, the Artesia native has earned two wins. He won at Martinsville Speedway in October 2025 and at Kansas Speedway in April this year.
”I am super appreciative of everyone at Joe Gibbs Racing for this opportunity,” Gray said in a press release. ”I feel like Jason (Ratcliff) and I have developed a really strong relationship that goes beyond racing. He has been a great mentor to me and helped me a ton both on and off the track. And overall, our team continues to grow and improve, so I’m excited about the rest of this season and next year working together again.”
As of his signing, Gray sits 12th in the NOAPS points standings with three races until the 12-driver postseason starts. He is one of 25 drivers ever to win a NOAPS race with JGR.

We look forward to Taylor and the 54 team finishing this season strong and building on that success for 2027.”
Gray will continue working with crew chief Jason Ratcliff, who has led eight drivers – including Gray – to 59 NOAPS wins.
