ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New teachers in Albuquerque picked up free classroom supplies at the Educator’s Emporium, where retired teachers donated items to help fill empty rooms.
KOB 4 went to the Educator’s Emporium, a free event for new teachers tied to new teacher orientation.
“This is for everybody who participated in today’s new teacher orientation. What happens is they get to come in here. They get to grab a bag and they get to take whatever they want with them. So they can start their year in a classroom that’s not completely empty,” said Sarah Hager, president of the Albuquerque Teachers Federation.
