CASPER, Wyo. — Chad McNutt, a Natrona County resident with a background in resource management and planning, is running for a seat on the Natrona County Board of County Commissioners.
McNutt has worked in land use, water resources, infrastructure and long-term planning, supporting communities, land managers and local governments. He has also served on the Natrona County Planning and Zoning Commission for the past three years.
He lives in unincorporated Natrona County with his wife and two daughters. He said living there has given him a firsthand view of the opportunities and challenges facing rural residents, agricultural producers and the broader county.
McNutt said he decided to run because he believes the county needs practical, balanced leadership focused on responsible growth, protection of private property rights and planning for the long term.
“Natrona County is facing important decisions involving growth, land use, infrastructure, water resources, and the future character of the community,” he said. “I believe county government should approach these issues carefully with meaningful public involvement.”
With his background in land management and environmental planning, McNutt said he understands how today’s decisions can affect landowners, taxpayers, infrastructure and future generations.
“I believe in supporting responsible economic development while also protecting the interests of existing residents, agricultural producers, and property owners,” McNutt said.
McNutt said he wants to help preserve the character of Natrona County while ensuring it remains a strong place to live, work, raise a family and do business.
