FARGO (KVRR) – A well-known downtown Fargo coffee shop is on the move, but it won’t be going far.

Babb’s Coffee House at 604 Main Avenue is moving just a few blocks north into the historic Ford Building at 505 North Broadway.

Owner Shawn Gibree says the lease for Main Avenue location runs out at the end of July and is not being renewed.

In the meantime, Gibree says he plans to open the new location later this month and possibly keep both locations open during the transition.

Babb’s originally opened in 2002. Gibree purchased the business in 2021.

Gibree was also the owner of Third Drop Coffee in Moorhead, which closed last month due to slow sales.
