Tajikistan showcased its tourism potential at the cultural week “Jiangsu — Central Asia 2026” in Nanjing, China. The booth of the company “Asrori Sang” attracted special attention from visitors, featuring handmade items, paintings, souvenirs, and other original works made from precious and semi-precious stones of Tajikistan.
The cultural week “Jiangsu — Central Asia 2026” took place in the city of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, from June 26 to 28.
According to “Asia-Plus” from the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan, an official delegation from Tajikistan participated in the event, led by the deputy chairman of the agency, Ziyodullo Salimzoda.
The cultural week was held under the title “Melody of the Silk Road — a cultural journey from Jiangsu Province to Central Asia.”
At the opening ceremony, a representative of Tajikistan emphasized the importance of developing cooperation between China and Central Asian countries in the field of tourism. He also highlighted the need to promote the region as a single tourist space and to develop joint tourist routes.
In his speech, Ziyodullo Salimzoda noted the role of the “Great Silk Road” brand for Central Asian countries.
As part of the forum, a thematic exhibition was held. Representatives of Tajikistan’s tourism sector presented the country’s tourism potential, cultural heritage, and folk crafts to the participants.
The booth of the company “Asrori Sang” attracted special attention from visitors. It featured handmade items, paintings, souvenirs, and other original works made from precious and semi-precious stones of Tajikistan.
The Tajikistan booth was decorated in a national style. It used national patterns and ornaments. There were also photographs of Tajikistan’s nature, folk crafts, and national clothing on display.
According to the organizers, the exhibition was dedicated to the theme of the Silk Road. The exhibits reflected the cultural traditions of this historical route, and the samples of craft art became a symbol of friendship and cooperation between countries.
At the conclusion of the event, the Tajik side invited participants and guests to the Dushanbe International Tourism Exhibition DITE-2026. It will be held from September 24 to 26, 2026, in Dushanbe.
The exhibition is expected to become a platform for developing international cooperation and showcasing the tourism opportunities of countries.
Organizers note that such events help promote the tourism potential of Tajikistan, which is located on the route of the Great Silk Road, and also contribute to attracting foreign tourists.
