Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan meets with UNHCR Regional Representative

AKIPRESS.COM – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Idibek Kalandar received Regional Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for Central Asia Mahir Safarli on the occasion of his appointment to the position on June 30, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reported.

The sides discussed the current state of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNHCR, prospects for its further development, as well as the implementation of joint projects.

The parties also exchanged views on a number of issues related to UNHCR’s activities in Tajikistan and the Central Asian region.
