At a launch ceremony, the eastern based National Development Agency (NDA) signed today 13 contracts with Chinese companies to implement the 1,000-hectare Magroun Industrial Zone project.

The NDA said the industrial zone, located an hour and a half south of Benghazi on the coastal road, is to be a regional centre for industry, investment and production.‎

‎The inauguration ceremony also included a review of the master plan of the Magroun Industrial Zone project, and the stages of infrastructure implementation.

It also included the presentation of its components and industrial specializations, which include building and construction materials, environmental industries and renewable energy technologies, electrical and mechanical industries, chemical and plastics, textiles, electronics and modern technologies.‎

The ceremony included the leading political figures in eastern Libya.
