The Libyan Business Council (LBC)—in collaboration with Amwal Financial Brokerage—held a specialised workshop titled “Islamic Sukuk (bonds) and Their Role in Financing” at the LBC’s Tripoli headquarters.
The workshop, held last Monday 2 November, was organized exclusively for LBC members as part of ongoing efforts to enhance understanding of modern financial instruments and to expand financing and investment opportunities within the private sector.
The workshop covered the concept of Islamic Sukuk, their operational mechanisms, and their significance as a Sharia-compliant financing tool. It also explored their role in diversifying funding sources and providing alternative financing options for economic and investment projects.
Furthermore, the workshop highlighted the importance of developing Islamic financial instruments and the potential for leveraging them to support private sector activities.
