Eco-activist Andrei Panaev has set off on a walking journey from Karakol to Bishkek to draw public attention to environmental issues and the need for greening initiatives across the country.

According to Panaev, the campaign is being held under the slogan of preserving a shared future and developing a «green» Kyrgyzstan. He noted that this spring, 17,000 trees were planted through his foundation, while the long-term goal is to plant 100,000 saplings.

During the more than 400-kilometer walk, the activist plans to raise awareness about the importance of restoring green spaces and encourage Kyrgyzstanis to support environmental initiatives. To facilitate donations, the foundation has provided a QR code allowing supporters to fund tree planting online. The cost of planting one sapling is 150 soms.

«One simple action means a brighter future. Take care of yourselves and nature,» Andrei Panaev said in his message to the public.

The route, stretching across several regions of Kyrgyzstan, will conclude in Bishkek.
