A 31-year-old man was arrested in Thmor Koul district yesterday after allegedly stabbing another man with a knife following a dispute over drug accusations.
The attack occurred at around 9am in Prey Totoeng village, Chrey commune. Major Keo Chea, deputy chief of Thmor Kol district police, identified the victim as 34-year-old Vat Savong, who sustained serious injuries to his arm muscles and both elbows.
According to police, the suspect, An Sodavit, admitted during questioning that he attacked the victim out of anger after being accused of drug use and trafficking.
Officers confiscated the knife used in the assault and transferred the suspect to the Battambang Provincial Court for legal proceedings.
