The women’s U17 football team of Kyrgyzstan has begun its participation in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) U17 international tournament, the Kyrgyz Football Union reports.
In the opening round, the team faced Iran and secured a 2–1 victory. Narselya Ilyasova (23rd minute) and Perizat Zairbekova (65th minute) scored the goals.
The tournament is taking place in Tashkent. In addition to Kyrgyzstan and Iran, the national teams of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are participating.
Kyrgyzstan’s next match, under the guidance of Spanish coach Antonio Mesa, is scheduled for September 17 against Uzbekistan.
