Pyongyang fired off an unidentified projectile towards the Sea of Japan (East Sea), the South Korean military reported on Saturday.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff is currently analyzing the specifications and flight distance of the launched projectile, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The U.S. Pacific Command similarly reported on the launch, stating that the event “does not pose an immediate threat to U.S. personnel or territory, or to our allies.”
“We are aware of the recent missile launch and are consulting closely with our allies and partners,” the statement
