North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected multiple major munitions factories from Wednesday to Friday, calling for expanded production capacity and modernization of weapons systems, including through artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, state media reported Saturday.
The ruling party newspaper Rodong Sinmun said Kim reviewed production at several enterprises under the Second Economic Commission, the body that oversees defense manufacturing, over the course of three days.
The report did not identify the plants or provide details about their location, but NK Newsanalysis suggests some photos — featuring North Korea’s 600mm super-large multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) — were taken
