North Korea launches suspected ballistic missiles toward East Sea: JCS

North Korea launched suspected ballistic missiles toward the East Sea (Sea of Japan) twice on Sunday, according to South Korean and Japanese authorities.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) reported that it detected a ballistic missile launched from Wonsan on North Korea’s east coast around  3 p.m. KST.  

The missile flew approximately 280 miles (450 km) before landing in the sea. The ROK military did not indicate the type of missile, but said South Korea and the U.S.are conducting a detailed analysis of its specifications.
