President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov made an unannounced visit to Manas International Airport today, August 29, to inspect its condition following a major reconstruction, the presidential press service reported.
The head of state inspected the airport grounds and the halls designated for receiving Kyrgyz citizens and foreign delegations.
He also personally assessed the airport complex’s readiness to receive high-ranking guests who will soon arrive in Kyrgyzstan to attend the summit of the heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states and the World Nomad Games.
Sadyr Japarov instructed the responsible officials to ensure the airport and surrounding areas are fully prepared, with particular attention to public order, security, the proper organization of protocol procedures and high-quality service for arriving delegations.
The president stressed the need for a high level of preparation for the upcoming international events, which will serve as important platforms for strengthening Kyrgyzstan’s international standing and developing cooperation.
