An entrance arch to Talas region has been renovated as part of preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s independence. Presidential Envoy to Talas region Ermat Dzhumaev told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the work is being carried out on the president’s instructions and in line with the development strategy of Talas region.
«As part of the project, the entrance arch was renovated and a recreation area was completed. It is planned to open it on September 4–5. The monument to Manas was completely renovated, and the Seven Precepts of Manas were installed nearby,» he said.
The region’s head also noted that a 37-kilometer power line has been built from Taldy-Bulak to the entrance arch. According to him, the valley previously had no electricity.
«Once electricity is connected, it will be possible to open electric vehicle charging stations, cafes, restaurants and other roadside facilities here. Lighting is also being installed along the road to ensure safety,» Dzhumaev said.
According to the presidential representative, reconstruction of the facilities at the entrance to the region is expected to be completed on September 5–6. The total cost of the project is approximately 20 million soms.
