Remittances to Kyrgyzstan totaled $1,539.5 billion in the first half of 2026, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. Outflows from the country through money transfer systems amounted to $150.6 million, bringing the net inflow to $1,388.9 billion.
Remittance inflows have been rising since the beginning of the year, reaching a peak of $292.1 million in June 2026. Outflows amounted to $35.5 million, resulting in a net inflow of $256.6 million.
CIS countries remained the main source of remittances. In June 2026, $271.2 million, or 92.8 percent of total inflows, came from CIS countries. Another $20.8 million was transferred to Kyrgyzstan from countries outside the CIS.
Money was also transferred from Kyrgyzstan to CIS countries, with outflows totaling $33.6 million, or 94.6 percent of the total. Countries outside the CIS accounted for $1.9 million.
