I’ll be honest, I’ve never been to a Comic Con, but I’ve been a fan of The Big Bang Theory since the show first aired in 2007, so I feel I have a good idea of what goes on at them. People who are passionate about comic books, superheroes, fantasy, anime, TV shows, movies, sci-fi, cosplay, and video games come together to share their passion.

The Comic Convention concept has been around since the 1960s, when a small group of comic fans gathered to share their love of comics. In 1970, the San Diego Comic Con, which is the largest in the US, was established and is now considered by many to be the most prominent and influential Comic Con in the world. Today, they are found worldwide, including right here in Casper, Wyoming.
This summer, Casper Comic Con will be held at the Ford Wyoming Center on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, 2026.
The two-day event will feature celebrity guests, cosplay contests, artists, vendors, and interactive experiences for fans of all ages. Attendees can shop a wide variety of comic books, toys, artwork, trading cards, action figures, and pop culture collectibles available for buying, selling, and trading.
This year’s special guests are actor and voice actor Charlie Schlatter. Schlatter has voiced countless animated and video game characters and currently stars as Chad in Nickelodeon’s Big Nate, Sport in Apple TV’s Harriet the Spy, and Sidecar in Netflix’s Hot Wheels: Let’s Race. He is also recognized as the new official voice of Steven Spielberg’s E.T.
Also, indie horror veteran, comic creator, playwright, and filmmaker Kevin M Glover will be in attendance. Some of the films you know him from are cult horror films, including Dinosaur Valley Girls, Venus Flytrap, Love Bites, and Mummy’s Kiss. Glover currently writes and creates several independent horror comic titles through Scary Tales Publishing.
You can also meet & greet Gage Gerardi of Semetary Cosplay, who has been creating handcrafted cosplay builds since 2006 and has earned multiple awards for craftsmanship and performance at conventions across the region.
There will be an adult and kids cosplay contest. The adults 15+ will be on Saturday at 4 pm, the kids will strut their stuff Sunday at 3.
Tickets are on sale now, including Weekend Passes, Saturday Only, and Sunday Only admission options. Tickets are available online through Ticketmaster or in person at the Sinclair Box Office at the Ford Wyoming Center. Box Office hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
