Can we still expect a good monsoon after some hot weather?

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Summer is rearing its head in the Land of Enchantment but there is some good news if you’re looking for some rain.

We are 34 days away from monsoon season officially beginning and we’re still looking fairly positive in terms of being above average for at least the first couple of months of our monsoon season. That’s thanks to our transition from La Nina to El Nino.

Now, unfortunately, we’re still going to stay fairly dry here in the metro. Things are looking up for the end of the month, so that’s good news, but we still have some time until we get to then.
