Albuquerque-bound Delta plane rerouted to Farmington after runway issue

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A Delta flight from Atlanta diverted to Farmington after a disabled aircraft blocked the runway at the Albuquerque Sunport.

FlightAware showed the plane circling over Albuquerque before it looped away and headed to Farmington.

Delta said the flight had planned to land in Albuquerque but changed course because a disabled aircraft was on the runway at the Sunport.

After the plane landed in Farmington, passengers took buses to Albuquerque.

Delta said the disabled aircraft was not theirs.

KOB 4 reached out to the Sunport for more information, but the airport had not responded.
