Historic Bishop Home Launches Nation’s 250th Anniversary with Sixth Throwback Event Featuring Thomas Jefferson Portrayal

The Historic Bishop Home will inaugurate the Nation’s 250th Anniversary celebration with its Sixth Throwback Event on Saturday, June 13, 2026, featuring a rare opportunity to experience Thomas Jefferson brought to life by nationally acclaimed historical interpreter Tom Pitz. As the primary draughtsman of the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson remains one of America’s most influential thinkers. During the evening program, Mr. Jefferson will reflect on the creation of the Declaration and the pivotal events that shaped its adoption.

For nearly four decades, Tom Pitz has portrayed Jefferson for audiences across the country, earning recognition for his deep historical knowledge and compelling performances. His appearances include the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the College of William and Mary, the United States Treasury, the National Geographic Society, the Smithsonian, and Mount Rushmore.

Particulars

The evening begins with a 5:00 p.m. reception at the Historic Bishop Home, 818 E. 2nd St. in Casper, where guests may mingle and take photographs with Mr. Jefferson. At 6:00 p.m., attendees will proceed to the Casper Country Club for dinner and conversation between Jefferson and visitors from the far western territory (Casper, Wyoming) on the coming anniversary of the approval of the Declaration of Independence.

Tickets are $100 per person; $20 of each ticket is a tax‑deductible donation to the Cadoma Foundation, a Wyoming 501c3.

Proceeds support the ongoing preservation of the Historic Bishop Home, a cornerstone of Casper’s heritage and a Cadoma Foundation property. A $5.00 convenience fee applies to credit card payments.

Reservations may be made online at www.cadomafoundation.org, by emailing cadomafoundation@gmail.com, or by calling 307‑235‑5277.
