Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to request approval for two pending MLC nominations under the Governor’s quota. He specifically appealed for the approval of Prof. Kodandaram and Azharuddin.
Although Azharuddin is not currently a member of any legislative house, he remains a minister and will complete six months in office by the end of the month. As per rules, a minister must become a member of a legislative house within six months of taking office.
Without the Governor’s approval, Azharuddin risks losing his ministerial position after the 30th. The meeting was held amid concerns over the pending nominations and Azharuddin’s ministerial status.
