Baisakhi Snan: Traffic route diversion plan will be implemented in Haridwar from April 13 to 15

Haridwar Police has implemented a traffic plan in the city in view of the Baisakhi Snan Parv and Sadbhavna Sammelan. The administration is on high alert in view of the expected large crowds on April 13, 14, and 15. In case of increased traffic congestion, entry of heavy vehicles into the city will be strictly prohibited and they will be stopped at the border. SSP Navneet Singh Bhullar stated that instructions have been issued to ensure strict compliance with the traffic plan.

Traffic Arrangements Will Be as Followed

  • A special traffic plan will be in effect on April 13, 14, and 15.
  • Entry of heavy vehicles into the city will be prohibited from 12 midnight on April 12 until the end of the Snan Parv.
  • Heavy vehicles will be stopped at the border if traffic congestion increases.
  • Vehicles from Naglimarti will be diverted to the Bairagi Camp parking lot.
  • The Cheela route will be used only for exits from Rishikesh.
  • Vehicles will be directed to Shankaracharya Chowk via the Gurukul Kangri Service Lane via Singhdwar.
  • If pressure increases at the toll plaza, exits will be provided via the canal track route.
  • Private buses going to Dehradun-Rishikesh will be diverted via Mohand if necessary.

For vehicles coming from outside states

  • Vehicles coming from Delhi, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Punjab will reach Haridwar via the designated route.
  • These vehicles will be parked at Alaknanda, Deendayal, Pantdweep, and Chamkad Island.
  • If there is more pressure, the route will be changed and sent to Bairagi Camp parking.
  • If pressure increases, Dehradun-Rishikesh will be sent via Saharanpur, Bhagwanpur, Bijauli, and Mohand.
  • Vehicles going from Delhi-Meerut to Najibabad will be diverted via Laksar and Balawali.

Vehicles coming from these routes will arrive as follows:

  • Small vehicles will enter the city via Chidiyapur, Shyampur, and Chandi Chowki.
  • Large vehicles will be diverted and sent to Gauri Shankar and Neeldhara parking.
  • Vehicles coming from Dehradun-Rishikesh will be brought to Haridwar via Nepali Farm, Raiwala.
  • Parking will be available at Laljiwala, Pantdweep and Chamkad Island.
