Roosevelt Stops UJ Men’s Volleyball

CHICAGO – In a match where Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Volleyball was fairly efficient, Roosevelt was just a little more so.

Roosevelt kept Jamestown winless in GLVC play Friday with a 25-22, 25-18, 21-25, 25-16 win at the Goodman Center.

Roosevelt (15-8, 7-4 GLVC) had only three more kills than Jamestown, 44-41 and just one fewer error.  But in the fourth set, the difference was that while Roosevelt hit only .048, the Jimmies (6-22, 0-11) hit -.074.

Kajetan Bieinek had 12 kills, four aces and four total blocks for the Lakers.  Jonathan Stovring had nine kills.

Lucas Soeldner led the Jamestown attack with 12 kills, three aces and two total blocks.  Cohen Johnson had eight kills and two total blocks.

Jamestown will again face Roosevelt in Chicago on Saturday.
