ZAMBIA’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Ivan Zyuulu, has died, the government said Friday.

Secretary to the Cabinet Patrick K. Kangwa said in a statement that Zyuulu died Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka after an illness.

The government said a funeral gathering is at House No. 28, Boniface Simutowe Road, Presidential Housing Initiative, Lusaka.

Burial arrangements will be announced in due course, Kangwa said.

Zyuulu served as Zambia’s envoy to China, one of Zambia’s most important bilateral and economic partners.
