PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has directed that health, teaching and other professional volunteers who attended a meeting in Mwense District be employed in the ongoing government recruitment exercise.
Hichilema said Mwense in Luapula Province “is home too” and pledged to deliver more development “to the satisfaction of our people here.”
“Natutwalilile ukubombela pamo, nokutwala chalo chesu kuntashi,” Hichilema wrote in Bemba, meaning “Let us continue working together and take our country forward.”
The president said his government will continue creating jobs and business opportunities, adding that “a peaceful environment is a source of development.”
Hichilema called on voters in Mwense to support the UPND’s youngest female parliamentary candidate and all other UPND candidates in the August election.
“Ba Mwense. Muli bantu abasuma sana!” he wrote, meaning “People of Mwense. You are very good people!”
