PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema assured residents of Mumbwa that the government is committed to delivering development and urged them to vote for the UPND in the Aug. 13, 2026 general elections.

President Hichilema said “we are leaving no stone unturned in terms of delivering development” and that Mumbwa district “is already receiving a fair share of the National cake.”

He said the government will continue with road projects, including those connecting the district to neighbouring areas.

“Farming, mining and other economic activities in this area are all aimed at uplifting lives of all citizens,” Hichilema said.

The President pledged more jobs, business opportunities, agricultural support and mining support for the district.

“Nubana Mumbwa. Mwatazhoka muunshi. Imbele bulyo basazhima,” he said, thanking residents for attending the meeting “in such unprecedented numbers.”

“Come August 13th, 2026, go and vote for the UPND,” Hichilema said. “Leza kamwembela lyonse.”
