PM Napat Backs Galaxy FC’s OFC Campaign

Prime Minister Jotham Napat has wished Galaxy FC success as the Vanuatu champions prepare to represent the country at the OFC Men’s Champions League 2026.

The Prime Minister met with the team yesterday ahead of their departure next week to Solomon Islands, where they will play three friendly matches before travelling to Fiji for the regional tournament.

Mr Napat encouraged the players to represent Vanuatu with pride and determination, reminding them they are not only representing their club but the entire nation.

He also urged the squad to be positive role models for young people and good ambassadors for Vanuatu while competing overseas.

Galaxy FC thanked the Prime Minister for inviting the team to meet with him, describing the visit as a strong show of support and encouragement ahead of one of the club’s biggest competitions.

The Vanuatu champions will compete in Group B alongside Lae City FC of Papua New Guinea, Rewa FC of Fiji and Tupapa Maraerenga FC of the Cook Islands.

The OFC Men’s Champions League 2026 will be held in Fiji from 9 to 22 August, with Galaxy FC aiming to make Vanuatu proud on the regional stage.
