Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to China from 30 August to 3 September, the presidential press service reported.

According to the program, on 31 August and 1 September the Uzbek leader will take part in the Council of Heads of States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the SCO+ summit in Tianjin.

The agenda includes expanding multilateral cooperation, strengthening collaboration in security, the digital economy, green industries, energy, tourism, and other areas. The meetings are expected to conclude with the adoption of the Tianjin Declaration and a number of joint documents.

On 2 September in Beijing, Mirziyoyev will hold talks with Xi Jinping as well as meetings with senior officials and heads of leading Chinese companies.

The parties will discuss further strengthening of the all-weather strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, along with new projects of practical cooperation.

On 3 September, the President of Uzbekistan will attend commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II.
