Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of the Samarkand regional office of the Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Samarkand branch of IT Park, together with the leadership of the Samarkand regional administration, carried out a working visit to the Republic of Korea and Japan aimed at attracting IT companies to the region and increasing IT service exports.

During the visit, a series of bilateral meetings were organized. Korean and Japanese companies were provided with detailed information about tax incentives for IT firms in Uzbekistan, the infrastructure of IT Park, and the favorable conditions available for investors.

Presentations were also delivered on initiatives for training young IT specialists, the Zero Risk program designed for companies providing export-oriented outsourcing services, and opportunities for securing grant funding to support startup projects.

As a result of the meetings, preliminary agreements were reached on establishing an IT outsourcing center in Samarkand region and opening local branches of several Korean and Japanese companies. The visit concluded with the signing of cooperation memorandums.
