Yeti has launched the Roadie 8 Hard Cooler, a $165 personal-sized unit designed for outdoor enthusiasts who need portable refrigeration in challenging environments.
The new Roadie cooler represents the smallest hard-sided option in Yeti’s product line, measuring 17.8 in. wide x 10 in. deep x 10.7 in. high while weighing 7.9 pounds. The compact design accommodates 12 cans or nine pounds of ice.
The cooler comes in core colors white, tan, charcoal, rescue red and royal blue, with seasonal options like sea foam and tropical pink.
A central feature distinguishes the Roadie 8 from standard portable coolers: integrated AnchorPoint Tie-Down Slots built into the exterior. These openings allow users to secure the unit to motorcycles, ATVs, truck beds, paddleboards or golf carts, keeping the cooler stationary during movement across rough terrain or at high speeds.
The cooler operates through a single central Quicklatch system, enabling one-handed access. This design allows users to open the lid while occupied with other tasks, such as operating a boat or carrying equipment.
Yeti constructed the Roadie 8 Hard Cooler using rotomolded materials and an interlocking two-pin hinge. The company incorporated pressure-injected polyurethane insulation, a form-fitting lid and a professional-grade gasket to maintain internal temperatures and prevent heat transfer.
Additional features include a hard-plastic handle for transport and non-slip rubber feet for stability.
