Fans who have parted ways with their local cable provider can catch this match by utilizing streaming alternatives like FuboTV ($20 off first month) and DIRECTV ($35 off first month), which both offer a free trial.

This game will also stream live on Peacock, which is available for $10.99 per month.

The United States hammered Paraguay in its World Cup opener, 4-1, on June 12. Folarin Balogun scored twice in the first half, becoming the first USMNT American with two goals in a World Cup match since 1930. Gio Reyna added the dagger with the outside of his right foot.

The thrashing was the most goals the U.S. had ever scored in a World Cup match. It took place in front of 70,492 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, marking the largest crowd for a U.S. World Cup match since 1994. Seattle’s Lumen Field is expecting over 69,000 for the U.S.-Australia tilt.

All eyes will be on the status of captain Christian Pulisic, who did not play in the second half against Paraguay due to a calf injury. Manager Mauricio Pochettino is expected to make a decision on his centerpiece at matchday.

Balogun’s breakout in his first World Cup will be the other major storyline. He had a third goal ruled out by VAR against Paraguay. Another monster performance will quickly thrust the striker up America’s ladder and likely have the USMNT in the knockout rounds.

The Americans have allowed at least one goal in their last nine matches and have failed to earn a clean sheet in 14 of their last 15 matches.

The U.S. can advance to the knockout stage with a win against Australia. The Americans can claim the group with a win over Australia and a Paraguay victory over Turkiye.

The last time the Americans won their first two World Cup matches was back in the inaugural tournament in 1930 in Uruguay. Coincidentally, that was also their best finish, placing third.

Australia bested Turkiye, 2-0, in the shocking nightcap of opening day for Group D. The Socceroos are seeking their third-ever trip to the knockout rounds and their first-ever top finish in a World Cup group.

The Aussies are a physical bunch that will be looking to clog their own box with defenders to slow down the American ammunition. Manager Tony Popovic’s men lean on a low block to compress the field.

Experienced goalkeeper Patrick Beach tallied eight saves in the win over Turkiye. He is a banner last line of defense.

Nestory Irankunda and Connor Metcalfe are lethal in transition, and 6-foot-6 captain center back Harry Souttar is a menace on set pieces. Both Nestory and Metcalfe netted the only goals of the shock-and-awe campaign against Turkiye.

The U.S. stunned Australia with a come-from-behind, 2-1, victory last October. This will be their first-ever meeting against the Aussies at a World Cup. The Americans lead the all-time series, 2-1-1.
