FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Fayetteville said they are investigating an early Saturday morning sexual assault in which a woman was attacked by four unknown suspects — including at least two men.
The incident happened around 5 a.m. Saturday in the area of East Orange Street and Cumberland Street, just north of downtown Fayetteville, according to a Fayetteville Police Department news release.
Officers said “four unknown suspects” were involved in the crime against the female.
“The victim described one of the suspects as being a tall male, who was young, wearing a camouflage mask, black hoodie, and yellow Timberland boots,” the news release said. “The victim described the second suspect as being a shorter male, who was young, with long dreadlocks.”

No other information was released about the suspects — including whether the other two were male or female.
