INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Central Indiana enjoys 70s now, but wet weather could target trick-or-treaters this weekend.
Your Tuesday Forecast: Sunshine Continues
Expect mostly sunny skies today with highs in the low to mid 70s. Southerly winds are ushering in warmer air, making it feel more like early October than late October.
Wednesday: More of the Same
The warming trend continues Wednesday with partly cloudy skies and highs again in the low to mid 70s. Those southerly winds keep pumping milder air into the region, keeping us about 15 degrees above normal for late October.
Thursday: Peak Warmth Arrives
Thursday brings our warmest day of the week. Southwest winds push temperatures into the upper 70s under dry skies.
Friday: Still Dry, Still Warm
Dry conditions hold Friday with above-normal temperatures continuing in the 70s. Enjoy it while you can, because our pattern is about to shift.
Halloween Weekend: The Soggy Switch
Saturday marks the beginning of a wetter pattern. Rain chances increase, especially Saturday night into Sunday, as moisture streams in from the southwest.
Expect highs only in the mid to upper 60s Saturday through Monday due to clouds and rain—a noticeable cooldown from our 70-degree stretch earlier in the week. Overnight lows will settle into the 50s.
What This Means for Trick-or-Treaters
While the rain chances do increase this weekend, we are cautiously optimistic that the most consistent rain will hold off until Sunday. That said, a few spotty showers can’t be ruled out for trick-or-treat hours Saturday evening.
