Sen. Susan Collins pledged to serve just two terms when she was elected in 1996. Correct me if I am wrong, but it is now 2026 and she wants another term? It is time to let someone else take her place, someone not so entrenched in Washington that they no longer represents the people of Maine.
I surely did not feel represented when she voted for Brett Kavanaugh, when she funded ICE, when we lost essential programming that helped Maine people, when rural hospital maternity wards started closing, when people lost essential healthcare, when the Save America Act and Big Beautiful Bills were supported, and when she gave Trump a blank check for the war with Iran. Should I keep going?
Let’s let Sen. Collins go on her vacations, she’s done her part, she’s made her millions, she’ll be just fine. What about the rest of the people of Maine? Are we fine? Do we have a voice? Is she a representative that will support the needs of Maine people?
We need a leader who will listen to and fight for Maine people. Who will fight for our health, our environment, our economy, our human rights and our future. Who is not beholden to President Trump and special interests. Vote her out. Get our voice back! Give someone else a chance to do better.
