T-Mobile outage: Users report widespread service problems

An increase in T-Mobile users reported service outages nationwide on Monday.

According to Downdetector, at 4:51 p.m. ET, 61,730 T-Mobile customers reported an issue with service.

Some users on social media stated that their phone was in SOS mode, with “SOS” or “SOS only” appearing at the top of the screen, which left them unable to make calls, send text messages or connect to the internet.

T-Mobile Help, the company’s customer service social media account, has acknowledged the influx of outage reports.

“Our teams are actively working the reports of technical challenges impacting some customers. Any service impacts are in the process of being resolved and are our highest priority,” one of the posts read.

It’s not clear yet what caused the service problems.
