JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KVRR) — A motorcycle rider is jailed in Jamestown after fleeing a traffic stop and hitting 115 miles per hour on I-94 before turning and crashing on a gravel road.

30-year-old Auston Peterson of Jamestown was checked out at the hospital and then booked into jail.

The chase started when a Jamestown Police officer tried to stop Peterson in city limits.

The department was assisted by Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, Stutsman County Drug Task Force and North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Police say Peterson was arrested for fleeing, DUI, driving under suspension and carrying a concealed weapon.

Additional charges are possible.
