FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Police in Fargo arrest a woman suspected of shoplifting a $700 coffee machine on Tuesday, May 20 at a business in the 4200 block of 13th Avenue South.

A loss prevention employee observed the woman loading a cart with high-value merchandise and attempting to leave the store without paying.

When the employee tried to stop her, the woman forcefully rammed the employee with the full shopping cart multiple times.

She also threw hot coffee into the employee’s face, causing redness, pain and damaging their clothing.

She grabbed the expensive coffee machine and fled.

Officers were able to identify the suspect through a tattoo, past encounters and video as 27-year-old Madison Dunkirk of Fargo.

They used the FLOCK license plate reader to locate her vehicle’s last known position last Thursday.

Dunkirk was ultimately found in a parking lot in the 1200 block of North Broadway and was taken into custody.

She was arrested for robbery and has a West Fargo warrant for Failure to Appear and a Cass County warrant for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
