New Orleans Saints star Alvin Kamara has long been established as a legendary football player, but on Saturday, he tried his hand at a new sport: Banana Ball.
The storied running back delighted crowds at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee, with a surprise appearance that, in true Savannah Bananas fashion, featured both a dance-off and a home run.
Kamara, who played for the University of Tennessee in college, appeared on the field in a bright yellow Bananas jersey in the fifth inning as a pinch runner. After jokingly limping to first base, Kamara battled his first-base coach in a dance-off to “Walk it Out” by Unk.

Known for his speed on the football field, Kamara made for a threatening base runner. But he didn’t have to kick it into high gear during Saturday’s game with the Texas Tailgaters. Oberst hit a homer into the crowd, allowing Kamara to take an easy jog into home base.
In the end, though, the Bananas lost 8-7.
An eccentric, entertainment-forward baseball team akin to the Harlem Globetrotters, the Savannah Bananas have gained popularity in recent years, performing sold-out shows at the Superdome in March.
