ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The weather is quieter over most of New Mexico with little to no rain chances likely Thursday, even if some places may be a little windy.
A wind advisory is set to go into effect in Colfax, Union and Mora counties this afternoon for gusts possibly up to 50 mph. We may see some lighter gusts near Tijeras Canyon by around 5 pm.
Albuquerque is looking sunny to partly cloudy and in the low-70s this afternoon. Expect about the same for Friday.
The weather is looking quiet Friday in most areas. Much of eastern and southeastern New Mexico may see some clouds. Then, the kickoff to Balloon Fiesta weekend looks pretty quiet.
