FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Patriots Foundation said that Arthur Flanders of Providence was awarded the Myra Kraft Community MVP Award to for his volunteer work at Nora’s Haven in Warwick.

Nora’s Haven provides “comprehensive, culturally sensitive support, housing, and education for victims of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking.”

The foundation said that Flanders has volunteered for the organization since it was opened in 2023, and has served as Volunteer Programming Director, where he “manages operational logistics while identifying and executing essential programming needs.”

Flanders also volunteers at animal shelters, where he adopts “sick and dying” pets so they have a home in their final days.

Flanders was one of 26 recipients out of nearly 300 applicants, and the foundation said it donated $10,000 to Nora’s Haven.
