A woman arrested Tuesday in Bowling Green is accused of traveling here with about 75 pounds of marijuana.

Danielle Mensah, 30, was booked into Warren County Regional Jail on a charge of trafficking in marijuana (greater than five pounds) and was set to be arraigned Wednesday in Warren District Court.

The Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force said that it received information that a person, later identified as Mensah, would be flying commercially from Oregon with a large quantity of marijuana destined for Bowling Green.

According to court records, Mensah was suspected of flying into Louisville and then hiring an Uber driver to travel to a Bowling Green residence on Rodeo Lane.

Drug task force detectives and Kentucky State Police troopers observed a vehicle pull into the driveway at the residence and saw Mensah remove three moving boxes from the trunk, an arrest citation said.

The boxes contained several vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana, according to the drug task force, which said that the seized drugs had an estimated street value of about $150,000.
