TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway into a shots fired incident that happened in Taunton Wednesday night.
Taunton Police Chief Edward Walsh said officers were called to Winthrop Street around 10:30 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired in the neighborhood.
Walsh said the officers arrived to find a 20-year-old man and 22-year-old woman inside a parked vehicle.
Investigators determined that someone had shot at their vehicle, but neither of them were hit by the gunfire.
It appears officers are searching for more than one suspect, though Walsh said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
