WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Indiana Fever fans in Iowa can rejoice as games are set to return to Local 5 News and CW Iowa 23 this upcoming WNBA season.
In total, Local 5 and CW Iowa will carry 22 games on air this year – a fitting number, given Iowa native Caitlin Clark’s iconic “22” jersey.
Of the 22 games, 18 games have been locally acquired by Local 5 and CW Iowa 23. In addition, Local 5 will carry four Fever games as an ABC affiliate.
In unprecedented news, all 44 Fever games this season will be nationally televised, becoming the only team to do so, the WNBA announced ahead of the season. This breaks both the Fever’s and the league’s record for most games broadcast on national television for any WNBA team.
