Hot weekend ahead, cooler next week

The heat is going to stick around for a few more days and the wind is coming along for the ride. We eventually cool off next week with rain chances thrown in.

The highs on Saturday will mostly be in the mid to upper 80s, but a few 90s are not out of the question.

The HuskerCast has kickoff in the 70s, mid 80s by halftime, and closing in on 90 by the end of the game. It’ll be windy, too.

The wind will be sustained at 10 to 25 mph, but wind gusts will be pushing close to 40 mph for a good portion of the weekend.

We’re also keeping an eye on several tropical disturbances.
