CLEVELAND, Ohio – Hormel Foods Corp. is recalling about 256,185 pounds of canned beef-stew product that may be contaminated with foreign material – specifically wood, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The Tucker, Ga. company’s product – produced Feb. 4, 2025 – comes in 20-ounce metal cans containing “Dinty Moore Beef Stew.” It was shipped to retail locations nationwide.
EST 199G is printed on the can, along with Best By Feb 2028 and lot code T02045. The lot code may have an additional number at the end.
Consumers are urged to discard the product or return it to the place of purchase.
